Want to know how to improve customer loyalty and reduce the number of products returned? Domino’s knows how.
The pizza giant is literally improving the customer journey for consumers in the U.S by paving over potholes on local streets.
Customers who might once have returned home with shaken-up sodas and sideways-leaning pizzas can now ask Domino’s for help. The campaign is called ‘paving for pizza’ and consumers simply need to nominate their post code for the chance to enjoy a smoother drive home.
By paving over potholes nominated by its customers, Domino’s is showing it really understands its customers and what’s important to them. The fast food retailer already has a policy of replacing any products damaged in transit, helping it become the number one choice for pizza collection in the U.S. This initiative should only further that reputation.
Domino’s USA President, Russell Weiner, said: “We don't want to lose any great-tasting pizza to a pothole, ruining a wonderful meal. Domino's cares too much about its customers and pizza to let that happen."
The campaign has already fixed more than 50 potholes across the U.S and only officially launched on 11 June.
