What we’ve been inspired by recently

Hair of the dog

Beer and dogs: two of life’s greats. We’d never considered putting them together – until now. This month premium beer brand Kronenbourg 1664 opened a pop-up bar in Greek Street, London, where dogs served customers using miniature barrels mounted around their necks.

In the style of the kegs worn by St Bernard mountain rescue dogs, the barrels contained a chilled bottle of the beer.

We love the cleverly named Bar D’Alsace-tian, which links to the brand’s recent Alsace-tians ad campaign with ex-footballer Eric Cantona.

Breaking with tradition

We love a big-scale takeover, which is why we were intrigued when we heard that Disney was taking over the iconic Fortnum & Mason windows in Piccadilly.

For the first time in the store’s 309-year history, it has handed over the window dressing duty to a brand – and what a fantastic display! Check it out below:

Playing the artist

Virtual Art Sessions, a Google Chrome experiment, allows you to experience what a selection of six artists did when creating various three-dimensional works in painting, drawing and sculpting.

With a tool called Tilt Brush, the works of art can be viewed at different speeds and you watch as the artists create some really incredible pieces, all in virtual reality.

Check it out here.
